This tour combines a visit to the site of Pompei, where you could possibly also have the assistance of a certified local guide to show you through the archaeological site, together with a drive + climb up to the crater. Once on the crater you not only will have the chance to see the inside part of the volcano (sorry: no lava bubbling there!), but also the astonishing views all around, including the bay of Naples and its island from a height of about 4000 feet above sea level. This day may include a lunch brake at a local winery with the chance to taste some local wine produced at the foot of the volcano.
